Australian Artesian Hotsprings Moree Plains & Surroundings
As a family we migrated from the mineral bath town of Stuttgart Germany to Melbourne Australia in 1987. The first thing we missed were the mineral baths in Stuttgart and Urach. It didn't take us long to discover Hepburn near Melbourne in Victoria and the mineral water was warmer than at home and we could drink it as well - big bonus ! Mineral bathing in Victoria has become a luxury for many with short bathing sessions. So its time to explore NSW, where we still can find bore baths and ajoining camping grounds that are free to use or priced very low at $7.50 to $10 a night.

$10/day in Burren Junction. a village near Wee Waa. The fee covers both bathing and camping at various sites near the Moree plains in NSW. The price includes free access to a bore bath with camping for the whole family. Not only do we get the best water there, we also found the location super attractive for Melbournians travelling up to the gold coast or Brisbane in winter (German summer). The Moree Plains during the Victorian winter are just the right temperature for us to enjoy the hotsprings free of any mozzies.
Temperatures water and air matter a lot during the Australian winter. For more than 10 years I have been escaping Melbournes winter to rejuvenate at the fountains of youth while detoxing in Australia's hotsprings !
