I have never met Dan Mohler in person and who knows if he will ever come to Australia. But on Friday his former protegee Todd White came to Fire church in Australia. Todd has a powerful testimony and is really genuine, which reflects well on his mentor. Both are taking the message of Jesus radically literal and have the fruits to show. Thanks to the internet you can see them both in their home church Harvest Chapel PA on youtube.
Some quotes from Dan in this video:
"And all of a sudden I am running in the zeal of what God did (referring to a miracle) instead of who God is towards them (his love and finished work of redemption on the cross). If you see somebody healed of MS and your own mother is laying there (not healed) - you could take that personal if you are not dead (to yourself). IF YOUR LIFE IS YOUR OWN THAN YOU HAVE ISSUES. Its not my life, I'm not my own. I don't even allow myself to think like that (dwell on the WHY)."
More quotes from other sources:
“Satan believes that all people love themselves above God – but we overcome his accusation through the blood [of the lamb] and the word [of our testimony], that redeems us from sin and the power of it – and we love not our own life.So if we don’t fail to preach the gospel this way, then people will come in the right way, put off the old, put on the new, perspective change, and they have a brand new purpose and reason for living. And they’ll even see adversity different, even sickness symptoms, job changes, all the stuff. You’ll view it from a whole different place …Listen, I didn’t become a Christian to go to Heaven … that’s my destination not my mission, it’s not the reason I’m born again. The reason I’m born again is to put off the old man (or sin). Here’s the nature of the Gospel message. I was created in God’s image and God is love.” – Dan Mohler
And what else did I find
They both are very authentic, honest, humble and full of miracle working faith and have been endorsed by Randy Clark. Randy has interviewed Dan Mohler who in turn has taught in Clarks school and has found many admirers there. Having said this I should mention that extreme positions on healing remain theologically controversial. More miracles occur with a radical faith then otherwise would, but the thought of failure is regarded theologically not in the will of God and hence dismissed as baseless and simply not worthy of being given mind space. Both Dan and Todd have died to selfishness and live radically for transformational love in Christ. Much different from the self serving prosperity gospel we often see modeled nowadays. Dan and Todd's example shines through loud and clear and is a real challenge to the more selfish and faith lacking Christian camp I find myself in. I suppose one of our biggest fears is that healing miracles are still exceptional and we don't want to give people false hope and yet we must have more "Godfidence" ourselves as Todd says if we wish to pass it on to others.
To me Dan and Todd embody what Jesus looks like. Like Jesus they are challenging our Theology and Beliefs and Walk with God. Read here about Dan's thoughts on Grace and a blog with a story that covers his wifes car accident. Dan also runs his own youtube channel. More info in this blog.
Praise from a catholic blog
Dan Mohler is a popular pastor from Abbotstown, PA. He is well know throughout the world but does not publicize his meetings/teachings. His popularity is mostly from people recording his teachings and putting them on youtube and the likes. He only ministers at local churches throughout the US, to unify and exhort the body. He does not post his travel plans, as he is very popular and people from all over would come to see him; but his heart is to minister to that local church and empower them to go out and do the exploits. He does not take offerings where he ministers nor does he provide a way to give to his ministry. He pays his own way for his travels, and ususally prefers to stay with the pastor of the local church or one of the members. So, I would say he's not in it for the money.
