At years end of 2022 about 100 City-Slickers bought a farm in Kyogle, NSW, Australia to cofarm it as a collective and engaged a professional farmer ! Located 22 km north of the township of Kyogle in the scenic and fertile valley of Lynch’s creek. The 223.5 Ha (566 acres) property has 3 lots, consisting of alluvial creek flats, basalt ridges and approximately 80 Ha of steeper timbered country. The pastures are sown with Setaria, Rhodes, Kikuyu, Clover, Legumes and over sown with Rye grass in winter. The property has an excellent water supply with 3 Dams and 2.6 km frontage to Lynch’s Creek which has always maintained a good flow throughout our worst droughts, providing plenty of good natural water straight from the Border Ranges National Park. This property has a good irrigation layout with a 233 Megalitre water licence for stock and irrigation covering 180 acres of pasture. The irrigation system is run by a 50 HP electric motor with a 4-inch underground mains system and a Trailco 300T-2 travelling irrigator with a 400-metre run. Other features include a comfortable 3 Bedroom house with sleepout/office, front verandah and covered back patio.
