Stuttgart is an amazing and very picturesque German town well worth a visit. It's size is just perfect and its Landscape outstanding. It is connected to beautiful spots like nagold in the black Forrest via it's vvs day travel passes. They cost between Euro 6.80 covering the city and nearby suburbs and Euro 15 covering the whole region. A must see is the mineral bath Bad Leuze and the Mercedes or Porsche Museum, the schlossgarten parks, TV tower and the Barock palace in
Ludwigsburg

This Church stands in Zalau in Romania. A brand new church in a small town. Painted beautifully with art resembling times past. Romanians know their identity and honor their heritage.

Swiss travel pass

The Swiss travel pass is amazing and excellent value for money. It has features not available on Eurail passes. The amount of trains and boats covered is fantastic. 4 days come for ca 300 Franks, that is $A 433. We bought it right after crossing the border in Schaffhausen near the famous Rheinfalls.

We came in late Summer 2016 to Europe, with an Etihad flight Melbourne to Frankfurt. The first thing was to head for the mobile phone shop at the airport to get a SIM card that would be good for Europe. They hooked us up with a pre-paid Vodafone SIM card and with a CallYa feature, which covers Europe pretty well at reasonable charges. I put on 25 Euro and had 2G bytes available for surfing all over Europe and for making phone calls for 30 days. Online re-charging went well. I keep using paypal now, cause Aussie credit cards do not always get accepted online in Germany. So all went well until we picked my fav country Switzerland. Not only did we need to buy Franks, but CH was not covered on my Catchya Sim-Card tarif. So I had to borrow someones phone to make a reservation for our hotel and then buy a Swiss Sim-Card at a remote post office the next day. Always keep your passport with you, in some countries you can't buy a Sim-Card without registration (anti terror measures ?) , Switzerland is one of them.

The Swiss travel pass is amazing and good value for money. It has features not available on Eurail.
