This will give men some learning tasks as well. We all tend to expect a fair and generous exchange of favors.Dr Laura Schlessinger (1947) has a no nonsense approach to time proven values and common sense. Her straight talk to women makes her a champion of men as well, because she is quite critical of women. She has written many books and has a grateful following among women who found her words empowering and who have reaped the benefits of a better marriage and the adoration of their grateful highly motivated husbands. When you listen to her envision somebody who was a naughty girl when young during the Hippie era and a snarky sounding person like Joyce Meyer or Judge Judy. It's a teaching style to drive home some points while entertaining and offending an audience with some hard truths. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laura_Schlessinger .
I do recommend Dr. Lauras book "The proper care and feeding of husbands" as well as her website

For balance I should mention her marriage book as well and the critical reviews on Goodreads.

This will give us men some improvement tasks as well. We all tend to expect a fair and generous exchange of favors. What may not have been addressed well enough may be baggage in form of long lists of past memories. The "U OWE ME". How do we start a new day with credits to our personal emotional bank accounts (Steve Covey). I recon there are 3 accounts that we need to look at. Two individual accounts (personal favors) and the 3rd one is a commonly held marriage account (we-account) where the couple pays agreed mutual contributions (Sound timeless principles). A big challenge is the account keeping where the bank has the last word on what the real balance is.
Sometimes we men may be more eager to reap transformational benefits then our women are. Laura has abdicated the women's lib movement and is now a social conservative. The book also comes with a disclaimer that it is written for normal people and isn't applicable to women that have married a sociopath. Likewise I might add that the book will only be beneficial for women that fit the normal spectrum as they would otherwise insist on their sense of entitlements and fight the notion that they should read a book that could actually improve their life.
A good way to get a grip on what's in the book is to watch the video "I'm busy, I'm tired .."
followed by a video interview on the topic of "cheating husbands" , read the transcript here !
Now the next step is to introduce your wife to these online samples and then order the book.
